From Launceston: Leave the A30 at Sourton Cross (before Okehampton) take the A386 towards Hatherleigh and Bideford. You go past a petrol station and Little Chef on your left-hand side. Stay on this road till you arrive at a roundabout after The Manor House Hotel. Turn right. After about 600metres there is another roundabout turn left, still on A386. As you drive through the village of Follygate, turn right opposite the pub `Crossways Inn’. Travel this narrow road till you reach Goldburn Crossroads. Turn Left. After about 1 mile you will see the entrance to South Dornaford Farm on the right hand side and a track leading off into the distance. Continue down the drive for about half a mile and then you’ll come to the house, studio barn and farm buildings. Watch out for the couple of speed bumps! If you should get to the village of Jacobstowe you’ve gone too far.

From Exeter: From A30 trunk road travelling westwards from Exeter, take the B3260 Okehampton junction and follow this road (called Exeter Road) towards the town centre. Go past Mole Avon and its garage, past Londis, over the pedestrian crossing, past Limehayes road, and take the next right into Barton Road. At the roundabout turn left on the B3217 called North Road (passing the hospital on your left-hand side).
At the T-junction turn right into North Road, towards Exbourne. Continue out of town past the Pole Star factory, after 400metres turn left over the river-bridge to Hook. Continue up the hill, through Abbeyford Woods and then straight over Goldburn Crossroads, about 3 miles. Continue towards Jacobstowe for about a mile when you will see the entrance to South Dornaford Farm on the right hand side with a track leading off into the distance. Continue down the drive for about half a mile and then you’ll come to the house, studio barn and farm buildings. Watch out for the couple of speed bumps! If you should get to the village of Jacobstowe you’ve gone too far.

From Holsworthy: Leave Holsworthy on the A3072 heading east till your reach Hatherleigh (approx 13 miles).At the roundabout, turn right on A386 sign posted to Okehampton. Go past the football pitch and follow the road round to the left. After a few hundred yards turn left on B3216 towards Crediton. Approx 4 miles later, you will reach Jacobstowe. Just after the church, turn right signposted Okehampton A3072 (A386) and IMMEDIATELY TURN LEFT. This road is marked with a Tarka Trail and route 27 cycle sign. After about 1 mile you will see the entrance to South Dornaford farm on the left hand side and a track leading off into the distance. Continue down the drive for about half a mile and then you’ll come to the house, studio barn and farm buildings. Watch out for the couple of speed bumps! If you should get to Goldburn crossroads you’ve gone too far.

From Crediton: From Crediton take the A377 heading West. After the railway bridge in Copplestone keep going straight on, now the A3072, rather than following the road to the right and up to Barnstaple. Go through Bow and past North Tawton, go over a bridge and turn right to stay on the A3072 (straight on takes you to Okehampton on the B3215).Go through Sampford Courtenay and Exbourne. When you enter Jacobstowe, there are a couple of houses on your left followed by a lay by. The road then bends to the right signposted Hatherleigh (A386), Holsworthy and Bude (A3072). DO NOT go this way but take the road straight ahead of you signposted Okehampton, Tavistock(A386) and Launceston (A30). AFTER 20 METRES TURN LEFT. This road is marked with a Tarka Trail and route 27 cycle signs.
